During Tokyo Game Show 2023, Bushiroad Games and developer HAKAMA announced that action RPG Rear Sekai will receive a free demo. The new demo launches on September 25, and more details about the game were revealed.
In Rear Sekai, players will discover secrets about two connected fantasy and reality-based worlds. The protagonist may also build a relationship and fall in love with a partner character similarly to Rune Factory. In Japan, players may experience a brief portion of the game in a free demo.
Rear Sekai Demo and DLC Confirmed at TGS 2023
Bushiroad Games confirms that players may begin the story of Rear Sekai in a new demo releasing on September 25 for Nintendo Switch. Save data transfers were not directly confirmed, however. In addition, new DLC for Rear Sekai will soon be in production. The DLC will introduce a new character voiced by Risa Tsumugi.
Rear Sekai is planned and produced by Yoshifumi Hashimoto, a notable developer who worked on the Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, and Harvest Moon franchises. The new action RPG features illustrations by Shie Nanahara and Minako Iwasaki. Moreover, Tales of and Star Ocean series composer Motoi Sakuraba will be Rear Sekai’s main composer.

The protagonist visits Ellentaros, a town at the furthest end of Melvania, where they interact with its unique residents and set out on an adventure in search of what can be done for them. Lastly, Rear Sekai launches on October 12 for Nintendo Switch in Japan, and the demo version releases on September 25. An English release of Rear Sekai has not been announced.
