Japanese game developer LeftOver announced arcade-style 3D shooter Asura The Striker has been delayed to 2024 for PC via Steam. An exact reason for the delay was not revealed, but it’s safe to assume that more polish is needed before launch.
This past April, LeftOver revealed Asura The Striker with a 2023 release window and opened the game’s official Steam page. The upcoming title is inspired by classic 80s and 90s arcade shooters from Japan including SEGA’s Space Harrier. However, those eager to try the new arcade-style shooter must wait until 2024 comes around.
Asura The Striker Gets Delayed
Asura The Striker has been delayed to 2024, but fans may look forward to Japanese and English language support on Steam. In 2024, Steam players will destroy enemies in a high-speed 3D shoot ’em up environment as Asura, a humanoid weapon designed to deal with extraterrestrial threats. Some of Asura’s deadly abilities include Lightning Overdrive and Shining Knuckles. The new shoot ’em up is not Steam Deck verified, but it should play just fine on the portable device next year. Moreover, fans may look forward to a free demo coming soon.
Here’s an overview of the upcoming shoot ’em up via its official Steam page:
