The staff for the Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 revealed a new promo trailer for the anime series during the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair event this weekend. The video previews cast member Aoi Koga as Risa Hoshizaki and the anime’s opening theme song.
Hiroyuki launched the Girlfriend, Girlfriend manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2020. The manga series ran until May 24 this year. Kodansha published the manga’s final compiled volume on July 14, and the anime’s second season will premiere on October 6.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Gets a New Promo Video
The latest promo video highlights Aoi Koga’s performance as Risa Hoshizaki in the Girlfriend, Girlfriend anime. In addition, the opening theme song “Dramatic ni Koi Shitai” (I Want to Fall in Love Dramatically) by Hikari Codama plays in the new video. As previously discussed, the official website confirmed that pop group ClariS will perform ending theme song “Forira”.

Where to Watch the Anime
The first season of Girlfriend, Girlfriend is now available to stream on Crunchyroll. 12 episodes were released in the first season, and the second season is expected to feature 12 episodes as well.
Lastly, the Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 anime will premiere on October 6 on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS channels at 2:23 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. JST. Crunchyroll will stream the second season as it airs in Japan.
