PLAYISM, Team Ladybug, and WSS Playground announced Touhou Luna Nights is coming to PS4 and PS5. The PlayStation versions will release on January 25, 2024, and the developers shared a special message for fans.
This past July, PLAYISM took over publishing duties of Touhou Luna Nights from Phoenixx, another prominent Japanese publisher. This process would help the facilitate better support for the game going forward, and PLAYISM’s first major announcement as its publisher involves the release of PlayStation versions.
Touhou Luna Nights Coming to PS4 and PS5
Touhou Luna Nights will release on January 25 next year for both PS4 and PS5. These versions were highly requested by fans, so Team Ladybug is pleased to finally be able to announce it. Moreover, PLAYISM has teamed up with Happinet Corporation for Tokyo Game Show 2023. Touhou Luna Nights will be playable at Happinet’s booth at TGS 2023, so attendees will have the first ever hands-on experience with the PS5 version. Those who play the demo at the event will receive an original acrylic keyholder.

For the longest time, fans have been asking for a PlayStation release of Touhou Luna Nights, but every time we’ve had to give the disappointing answer, “Sorry, we don’t have plans for a PS release right now.”
To everyone who’s ever asked for a PS release over the years… Thank you so much for waiting. We’re finally officially releasing a PS version of the game. You can say this game is Team Ladybug’s “origin”, and we hope that more players can enjoy this game which has a special place in our heart. Even if you’ve already played the game before, you can always give it another go on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5!
