    After almost ten years of waiting, Starfield is just a week away. The game is easily one of the most anticipated games this year, and with it releasing on September 6, the hype is higher than ever. Before you purchase the game, however, you may be wondering what critics think of the game. As of August 31, the embargo for Starfield reviews has officially lifted. Here’s an overview of the thread of Starfield reviews from different publications.

    Starfield is the first new franchise from Bethesda Studios in nearly twenty years. The game will allow you to explore the far reaches of space and build connections in this exciting new RPG from the mind of Todd Howard. It will be released on the Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6, 2023. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day One. Here’s an overview of Starfield’s story via Steam:

    In the year 2330, humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settling new planets, and living as a spacefaring people. You will join Constellation – the last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy – and navigate the vast expanse of space in Bethesda Game Studios’ most significant and most ambitious game.

    Several major publications have already released their reviews for Starfield. Both Open Critic and Metacritic have rated the game at 88. Several other publications have placed it at 8.5/10 and higher. Check out some of the major scores below:

    In comparison, the original launch of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a 94 on Metacritic. Fallout 4, released in 2015, has an 87. Fallout 76, the MMO FPS set in the world of Fallout, is rated at 53. While some have noted problems with certain of the game’s systems, such as its inventory and lack of maps, several reviews have praised the game for its scope, story, and wide-open world. If you’re a Bethesda fan, this will undoubtedly be the game for you.

    Lastly, Starfield will release on September 6, 2023. The game will be available exclusively on the Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass.
