    Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 Anime Premieres October 6

    Opening and ending themes revealed.

    The official website for the Girlfriend, Girlfriend confirms that season 2 of the anime series will premiere on October 6. The opening and ending theme songs were also revealed in the website’s latest update. 

    Hiroyuki launched the Girlfriend, Girlfriend manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2020. The manga series ran until May 24 this year. Kodansha published the manga’s final compiled volume on July 14, and fans may look forward to the return of the anime.

    The Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 anime will premiere on October 6 on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS channels at 2:23 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. JST.  Crunchyroll will stream the second season as it airs in Japan. A new trailer was released featuring the opening theme song “Dramatic ni Koi Shitai” (I Want to Fall in Love Dramatically) by Hikari Codama. Moreover, the official website reveals pop group ClariS will perform ending theme song “Forira”.

    The first season of Girlfriend, Girlfriend is now available to stream on Crunchyroll. 12 episodes were released in the first season, and the second season is expected to feature 12 episodes as well.

    The protagonist, Naoya, is a first-year in high school. He asks out Saki, a girl he has been in love with, and she agrees to be his girlfriend. He’s currently on cloud nine.

    But then, a beautiful girl named Nagisa comes up to Naoya one day and tells him that she wants to go out with him. Naoya feels himself wavering because Nagisa is such a good girl, and he comes to a decision! A new kind of romcom from a rather unexpected decision is about to begin!
