Nightdive Studios has officially announced Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered. The game will be released on November 14 on all consoles.
Acclaim Entertainment initially released Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. The upcoming remaster will be the first time it’s been released on modern hardware. Nightdive is well-known for its works remastering and remaking older games, such as the recently released System Shock Remake and the upcoming Star Wars: Dark Forces remaster.
Turok 3 Remastered for a Modern Audience
The Turok 3 Remaster will mark the end of the remastered Turok trilogy. All three games are available on most modern consoles. The upcoming release includes the following features:
- Remastered environment art and character models
- Updated weapon models
- Advanced rendering, including anti-aliasing, dynamic shadows, motion blur
- Optional motion/gyro for the Nintendo Switch
- Gamepad rumble
- Trophies & Achievements
- 4K and 120 fps support
- And more!
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered will also utilize the most recent version of the KEX engine. KEX is a rendering engine that supports all consoles and has been used on games such as System Shock and other Turok remasters. The story of the game, according to Steam, is as follows:
Finish the hunt in this epic finale to the Turok Trilogy. Pick up immediately after the events of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, with dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, of the Turok family tree, as they battle the titular antagonist Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters.

The game will be available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC/Steam, and the Nintendo Switch.
