    Destiny 2 Showcase – When and Where to Watch

    The final Destiny 2 update is upon us.

    The last Destiny 2 update is almost here. On August 22, Bungie will hold its annual Destiny 2 showcase. They will likely reveal more information on the final Destiny 2 expansion set to release in the next year, titled The Final Shape. Here’s a guide on when and where to watch the next Destiny 2 Showcase and what the event will entail.

    When and Where to Watch the Destiny 2 Showcase

    The Destiny 2 showcase will begin on August 22. The pre-show will start at 8 AM PDT, or 11 AM EDT, on the day of the event. The main showcase will begin an hour later, at 9 AM PDT or 12 PM EDT. Afterward, the live post-show will feature a recap from developers on what to expect from the future of Destiny 2.

    Fans can watch the event on Bungie’s official Youtube and Twitch channels. Those watching on Twitch can look forward to Twitch Drops, which will provide viewers with an exclusive emblem if they watch for 30 minutes any time from the start of the showcase until the end of the post-show.

    What Will Be Shown at the Showcase?

    The next Destiny 2 showcase will feature an in-depth look at the next reprised raid and final expansion, The Final Shape. Little is known about the last expansion other than the fact that the beloved character, Cayde-6, will return. Additionally, Bungie recently confirmed that Keith David will be taking over for the late Lance Reddick in the role of Zavala. Expect more information to be revealed about the expansion’s story, gameplay, and more during the showcase.

    Destiny 2 is almost at the end of its life cycle. With the recent announcement of Marathon,  Bungie’s next major game, the company is likely looking to move on to new titles beyond Destiny. This next showcase will probably end up being one of Destiny 2‘s last. So stay tuned for more information on everything the final expansion offers in the coming weeks and months.
