Red Art Games announced a physical edition of shoot ’em up Castle of Shikigami 2 will be sold in Q2 2024 for Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe. Deluxe and Dream Editions will be sold alongside the standard edition.
As previously discussed, Castle of Shikigami 2 is a story driven bullet-hell shooting game that first launched in Japanese arcades in 2003. The game was later ported to home consoles, including the SEGA Dreamcast and Nintendo GameCube. Next year, Castle of Shikigami 2 will be back with new French, Italian, and Spanish localizations and various physical editions.
Castle of Shikigami 2 Physical Editions
In North America, the physical Castle of Shikigami 2 Standard and Dream Editions will be sold via Video Games Plus. Red Art Games will directly distribute Standard, Deluxe, and Dream Editions of the game in Europe at the official Red Art Games store. Pre-orders are now available while supplies last with a release date currently set for Q2 2024.

Castle of Shikigami 2’s story begins in 2006 when a “twisted castle” suddenly appears above Tokyo’s skyline. Each character has its own story and when playing in Two-Player or Dramatic Change (a single player mode which allows to switch between characters) modes, a completely different story will unfold depending on the combination of characters used. In Castle of Shikigami 2, players can choose between one of seven characters. Each of them has its
own unique abilities, and can use its shots, special Shikigami attack, and bombs to destroy the enemy.
