Neowiz Games and Round 8 Studio have announced that their upcoming souls-like, Lies of P, has officially gone gold. Development has wrapped up, and the game will officially release on September 19, 2023.
Lies of P is a game that takes heavy inspiration from titles like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. It is based on Pinnochio, a novel by Italian author Carlo Collodi, that has been adapted into several movies and TV shows over the past few decades. More information and footage about the upcoming game are expected to be revealed before its release.
Lies of P Gone Gold
Neowiz revealed the news in a tweet posted on August 8. It states the following:
“It is our genuine pleasure to announce that Lies of P has gone gold. Truly, we cannot wait for your arrival in Krat on September 19. Even the Black Rabbit Brotherhood snuck in to help us thank everyone for your support.”
They posted a picture underneath it showing the development team posing together. Neowiz initially revealed Lies of P in 2021 with a small teaser. A new gameplay trailer was revealed in Gamescom 2022, with a release date confirmed earlier this year. Additionally, a demo of the game’s first few hours is available now on all consoles.
Steam describes Lies of P as a “thrilling Soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era.” The game will release on September 19, 2023. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you have Xbox Game Pass, you can purchase the game at no additional charge.
