The ongoing Oshi no Ko manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari will be going on a short hiatus for Young Jump issues 37/38 through 41. In its place, the new Oshi no Ko: Interlude spin-off manga will be available for a brief weekly run.
Oshi no Ko is already one of the most popular anime and manga series of the year as it explores the dark side of the idol industry. The series also adds a comedic twist as the reborn son of Ai Hoshino attempts to support his mother and deal with the entertainment industry. Fans will receive a new story in the upcoming spin-off manga while the main series goes on hiatus, however.
Oshi no Ko Hiatus and Interlude Manga
According prominent Japanese leaker Ryokutya2089, the Oshi no Ko manga will be going on a short hiatus for roughly a month. Manga chapter 125.5 will release on August 9, and the series will return with Young Jump issue 42 on September 14. During the break, the Oshi no Ko: Interlude spin-off will run from issues 37/38 to 41. The new manga will tell a story set in the real world with series mangaka Mengo Yokoyari writing and illustrating the work. The spin-off manga’s main story has not been revealed yet, however.

Fans may read new Oshi no Ko manga chapters as they release on Manga Plus in English. In Japan, new chapters are available in Young Jump and other manga services. Yen Press is also printing and distributing the popular manga series in volumes. Anime watchers may also stream Oshi no Ko right now on HIDIVE.
