    Pokémon TCG Live Launches June 8 Alongside Paldea Evolved Expansion

    Pokémon TCG Online shutting down soon.

    The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon TCG Live launches on June 8 alongside the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet “Paldea Evolved” card expansion. Ahead of Pokémon TCG Live’s launch, the Pokémon TCG Online game will be permanently shutting down soon. 

    Launch Date Revealed

    The launch of Pokémon TCG Live will feature new Pokémon ex and Tera Pokémon ex cards due to the inclusion of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Paldea Evolved card expansion. Players who log into the beta version of between now and June 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. PDT will receive special customization accessories including a coin, card sleeves and deck box. These items include a “Global Beta” design to commemorate the player’s participation in the Pokémon TCG Live

    Pokémon TCG Online’s Shutdown

    Before the launch of Pokémon TCG Live, the official Pokémon TCG Online app will shut down on June 5 at 9 a.m. PDT. No new Pokémon TCG products, cards, or deck accessories have been introduced to the game since March 1 as the development team prepares for the impending launch of Pokémon TCG Live. Although content updates have ceased entirely, Pokémon TCG Online players may enjoy Versus Ladder reward tracks leading up to the game’s closure on June 5. Additionally, players may migrate their Pokémon TCG Online collection to Pokémon TCG Live. A full list of supported and unsupported items for the transfer may be found at the official Pokémon Support page.

    “Developed and published by The Pokémon Company International, Pokémon TCG Live allows players to enjoy the Pokémon TCG in an updated digital format,” The Pokemon Company said in a press release. “Releasing as a free-to-play game, Pokémon TCG Live offers beginner and veteran players a fun and accessible way to experience the Pokémon TCG, including various gameplay modes, daily quests, customizable avatars and Pokémon TCG accessories, as well as fan-favorite activities like building decks and battling friends.” 

    Lastly, Pokémon TCG Live launches June 8 for Android, iOS, Mac, and PC.
