Dokapon Kingdom: Connect Details Online Features, ‘How to Play’ Trailer

A variety of online play options.

    Published:

Compile Heart and Sting revealed new details about Dokapon Kingdom: Connect and the online features players can expect. Additionally, a new “How to Play” trailer introduces basic rules and techniques for winning local and online matches in Dokapon Kingdom: Connect.

Online games in Dokapon Kingdom: Connect will save automatically, and players may manually save or suspend games just like offline play. Additionally, players that disconnect from an online match may rejoin the group through automatically created rooms. These features allow friends to get right back into the game if connection problems arise.

Control may be handed over to the COM at any time during a turn. This feature is useful if a player needs to take some time away from a match before returning. Further, up to three other players may join an online game on a single Nintendo Switch console in Dokapon Kingdom: Connect

Here’s an overview of Dokapon Kingdom: Connect’s online features via Gematsu:

    Online Features
    • Save in the Middle of a Game – Online games will auto-save as you play, but they can also be manually saved or suspended just like you would when playing offline, so you can play through Story Mode or weeks-long games together without worry.
    • Disconnected? Regroup in an Instant! – If a player gets disconnected, a room will be automatically created so that each participant can rejoin the group.
    • Hand Control Over to COM at Any Time – During a game, you can hand control over to COM (the computer) at any time during your turn. Since COM will automatically play as your character after you leave, this is handy feature for whenever you have to leave a game, but want to let the other players continue playing.
    • Bring in Guests with Just One Switch – In online games, up to three players can join the game using just one Switch. This is a handy feature for group games, so be sure to make use of it.
