Grandia first launched on December 18, 1997 for the SEGA Saturn in Japan, introducing JRPG players to a brand-new experience that would become timeless. Further, the game would release in 1999 for the original PlayStation worldwide, and Grandia’s success would create a long-running series. Grandia II and Grandia III would become some of the most popular entries in the series for the SEGA Dreamcast and PlayStation 2.
