Arknights: Prelude to Dawn episode 8 recently aired as the conclusion to the first anime adaptation for the popular mobile title. A teaser trailer for a new anime premiered during the final episode, revealing a continuation of the Arknights anime series titled “Arknights: Perish in Frost.”
Hypergryph and Yostar Pictures adapted the Arknights prologue and first three story chapters into the Arknights: Prelude to Dawn anime. Arknights: Perish in Frost will continue the story from where Prelude to Dawn episode 8 left off.
The new anime is currently in production at Yostar Pictures with Arknights: Prelude to Dawn voice cast returning for their respective roles. For example, Japanese voice actors Tomoyo Kurosawa and Yuki Kaida return as Amiya and The Doctor respectively.
Currently, its unknown whether Perish in Frost is considered the second season of the anime, but more details should arrive in 2023. If the new anime is the second season, then fans can expect roughly eight episodes or so in Perish in Frost.
