Nintendo announced four more SEGA Genesis games are available now with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service including Golden Axe II and Virtua Fighter 2.
The subscription service adds classic SEGA Genesis titles Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, and Virtua Fighter 2. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers may play these newly-added games by launching the Nintendo Switch Online – SEGA Genesis app. Additionally, many games support online-play with friends.
Subscribers can expect many more additions to the service including more Nintendo 64 games, game trials, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC. Moreover, one of the upcoming Nintendo 64 titles is the highly anticipated Goldeneye 007, which will support multiplayer.
Nintendo’s overview for upcoming Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack releases in 2023 reads:
- GoldenEye 007: Bond is back and coming to the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online collection of games! As the iconic secret agent 007, enter a world of action and espionage. Infiltrate underground bases, command your way through a military train and sneak through the depths of a jungle to help stop the GoldenEye weapon satellite. Play the four-player multiplayer mode locally or online and enjoy round-after-round of first-person competitive action with the iconic split-screen multiplayer mode.
- Even More Nintendo 64 Games: Take to the skies with the recently released Pilotwings 64 game, and in 2023 more games will be gradually added to the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online collection, including Mario Party 3, Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2.
