    Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake News Coming Soon, Square Enix Still ‘Working Hard’

    Jump Festa 2023 is around the corner.

    A recent Famitsu interview featuring Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii confirms Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is still in development, and more news is coming soon.

    According to Horii, Square Enix is still working hard on Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. Horii can’t say much just yet, but more news about Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is coming soon. The creator is grateful for the high expectations placed by fans on the remake.

    “We’re working hard on Dragon Quest XII and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake!” Horii said. “I can’t say much yet, but we might be able to deliver more news on DQ III soon. We’re grateful that people are putting big expectations on DQ III too.”

    Square Enix confirmed its presence at Jump Festa 2023 with various Dragon Quest series trailers. The company will likely share more news about its upcoming slate of Dragon Quest games at the event.

    Jump Festa 2023 will be held from December 17 to December 18 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The annual event features the latest news and updates regarding manga, anime, and games straight from Japan.

    Lastly, Dragon Quest Treasures, the latest game in the series, launches December 9 for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
