Netflix and SEGA have revealed a brand new trailer for Sonic Prime, the brand new animated series coming soon to Netflix. The trailer sees Sonic get thrown into the multiverse by Eggman, which leads to the blue hedgehog finding his friends in alternate dimensions. Take a look at the trailer below.

Sonic Prime was initially announced in December of 2020, in development at Man of Action Entertainment and Wildbrain. The first season will run for 24 episodes. Currently, SEGA does not have plans to adapt the events of the series into a video game title. Back in October, Netflix revealed character posters for Sonic, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Knuckles, Rouge, Eggman, and Big the Cat.

Sonic has had a packed year, especially with Sonic Frontiers, which just released last week. Overall, we had a great time with Sonic Frontiers despite it not being perfect, which you can read about in our review. Frontiers is available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Sonic Prime is set to release December 15th on Netflix.
