Bandai Namco files trademark for Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS (UPDATED)

    A potential new Naruto game.

Bandai Namco filed a new trademark for Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS in Europe, and a timeline of the trademark is currently unavailable.

The new trademark may suggest that Bandai Namco is preparing to release a new game in the series nearly 7 years after the release of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Further details about Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS, including a timeline of the trademark and platforms, remain unknown.

UPDATE: 11/21/2022 – Bandai Namco trademarked Narutimate Storm CONNECTIONS in Japan and Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS in Malaysia on November 14. Narutimate Storm is the Japanese title for the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.

Developed by CyberConnect2, the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series is widely renowned for its faithful anime visuals and frantic combat. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm branched off of the original Naruto Ultimate Ninja series, which began on the PlayStation 2. The Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series received two non-numbered titles in the past: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations in February 2012 and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution in September 2014.

Multiple subseries titles such as Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact released on the PlayStation Portable. Further, Bandai Namco released Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing in 2016, which is the first mobile game in the series. The game’s service ended in February 2021.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 released in February 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The Switch version released in April 2020.
