    Looking into alternative storefronts.

Spike Chunsoft announced CHAOS;HEAD NOAH will not release on Steam due to the platform’s “guideline-required changes.”

The publisher is looking into alternative storefronts to release CHAOS;HEAD NOAH on PC in the west. Additionally, Spike Chunsoft confirms the Nintendo Switch version is unaffected by the Steam announcement. More details about a PC release will be announced at a later date.

    Spike Chunsoft’s statement reads:

“Spike Chunsoft, Inc. today regrets to announce that it will not be able to release CHAOS;HEAD NOAH on Steam as originally planned due to Steam’s guideline-required changes to the game’s content. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. believes these changes would not allow the game to be released to its standards.

“The company extends its sincerest apologies to all of the fans looking forward to this release.

“The company is looking into delivering the title through alternative storefronts, and when details are decided will make another formal announcement. Until then your patience and understanding is appreciated.

“Please also rest assured the Nintendo Switch version is not affected and will release on October 7, 2022, as scheduled.”

CHAOS;HEAD NOAH / CHAOS;CHILD Double Pack releases October 7 for Switch. Switch players may purchase the double pack physically at retailers or purchase the games separately through the Nintendo eShop.
