    Intel 13th Gen desktop CPUs launch October 20

    Compatible with existing 600 series motherboards.

    Intel announced its Intel Core 13th Gen desktop processors launch on October 20 with the new flagship i9-13900K CPU.

    Intel 13th Gen features up to 24 cores and 32 threads with the i9-13900K. The i9-13900K boosts up to 5.8 GHz according to Intel. The 13th Gen series features 22 CPUs, and six K series CPUs launch first on October 20 alongside new Intel 700 series motherboards. Additionally, existing Intel 600 series motherboards are compatible with the new series.

    Intel 13th Gen offers roughly 15% better single-threaded performance compared to Intel 12th Gen and Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. Efficiency cores provide up to 41% more multi-threaded performance compared to previous generations according to Intel.
