Inti Creates released the second major update, version 1.2.0, for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 version 1.2.0 introduces a new Trial Mode, a new boss battle, and various game fixes.

Trial Mode
In Trial Mode, you can challenge your best scores and fastest times on each mission of the game. To create a balanced ruleset for competition, elements involving luck or unfair advantages are restricted.
*Unlocks at the same time as D-nizer Mode. Once unlocked, select it from the title screen.
When playing Trial Mode, time elapsed is displayed at the top of the screen. Time is calculated differently from the main story mode.
Other than individual mission, an “All Missions” option is also available to play through each mission in order. Feel free to use this for speedruns.
You can see your total score for all missions (with some exceptions). Players with a high total score could be said to be reaching peak Gunvolt 3 performance.
New boss battle – The Slothful “Conjurer” Merak and “The Serial Experiment” Teseo
An ATEMS Adept has revived one of the Sumeragi Seven, The Slothful “Conjurer” Merak alongside “The Serial Experiment” Tesso from Eden. Watch out, as these two unique fighters form an unforgettable tag team! This battle also includes brand-new story elements!
Encounter Requirements: After updating to ver. 1.2.0 or later, a wormhole will appear somewhere in the Sunrise Palace. The wormhole won’t be visible until you’re already inside it, so take a dive into the unknown…
Teseo’s Bugged Death Laser and and Merak’s Chair Missiles combine! Beware their combined powers!
Punches come from all sides with Merak’s wormholes! Don’t get distracted by Teseo’s trolling, either!
It seems these two aren’t great at working together. Can their teamwork hold out until the end…?
Lastly, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 releases December 15 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 followed by a PC release this winter.
