When Does the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Preload Unlock?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set to release in just under a week now, which has led to many players wondering when the preload for the newest MonolithSoft title will be available for them to download.

When Does the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Preload Unlock?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s preload is available to download¬†now on the Nintendo eShop. Players will need to navigate to the product page in order to download the preload, then select “Download” to get the preload loaded onto their Nintendo Switch system.

The file size for the title was revealed long ago to be only 14.6GB, which although still not very large at all, is actually higher than both Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This will take up half of the regular Switch’s internal storage, or 1/4th of the OLED model’s.

    Are Pre-Orders Still Available?

Yes, pre-orders are still available on the Nintendo eShop and will continue to be until it is a game purchase on July 29th at 12:00AM EST. At this point, players will be able to immediately download and immediately play the title without any restrictions on unlock times. Pre-orders are also still available at all outlets such as Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and GameStop.

Pre-orders for the game’s Special Edition are not available anymore, however. The Special Edition was a Nintendo Store exclusive, which led to massive amounts of frustration from players. The contents of the Special Edition, which is everything but the physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, will be shipping later this year during Fall.
