Altergear visual novel Soukai Tenki releases December 8 in Japan

A visual novel looks into the Honnoji Incident.

Idea Factory announced Altergear brand visual novel Soukai Tenki releases December 8 for Nintendo Switch in Japan.

In similar fashion to Idea Factory’s Sympathy Kiss, customers may purchase a Special Edition of Soukai Tenki for 9,350 yen. The Special Edition includes a drama CD, special booklet, set of character cards, and soundtrack CD. Pre-orders for any edition of Soukai Tenki include an additional drama CD.

Here’s a synopsis of the new title and the teaser trailer:

Minato is an amnesiac boy who remembers only his name, banished as an exile—someone who has committed a crime—to Ikishima, an island far from the Wa no Kuni mainland.
Unable to comprehend the situation and confused, the mysterious Minato is accepted by island boys Kazuya, Nagisa, and Reiji, with whom he gradually forms strong “bonds” as they interact, occasionally fight, and grow.
Although his memory had not returned, Minato was living a new and peaceful life. However, the powers of darkness were gradually stealing the sunlight from this peaceful island far from the mainland.
Several months prior, the Honnoji Incident occurred on the mainland. It is said that Nobunaga Oda, the lord who was close to unifying the country, was killed by insurrection, but his corpse was never found.
What happened at Honnoji? What future will Minato arrive at and build up as he defies, follows, and faces the difficulties of the destiny and mission expected of him by the gods…?
