    FIFA plans to create a new game to compete with EA Sports FC by 2024

    Following the announcement of EA Sports FC, FIFA confirmed that the company is looking to create a competitor by 2024. Discussions are currently being held with “leading game publishers, media companies, and investors” to make this game a reality. Multiple “non-simulation” games are in production and launch later this year.

    A “tailored gaming experience” is being developed for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Other projects are being discussed for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The new games will continue under on with the typical nomenclature of yearly releases previously held by EA Sports FIFA. FIFA president Gianni Infantino strongly claims that the new games will be the only ones credible in the football world.
