Bandai Namco is working on a 3D action game remaster/remake for Nintendo

Multiple job listings have surfaced from Bandai Namco Studios, pointing toward a 3D action game remaster or remake for Nintendo! The job positions are contracted work by Nintendo such as visual artist and planner. In addition, one of the Bandai Namco Studios listings states that HD remastering of 3D backgrounds is needed for the project. HD remastering involves:

    • Porting of existing 3D background data
    • Creation of background assets
    • Adjustments, lighting production and data integration with in-house engine
    • Support and checking back with contractors (Nintendo)

Specific details about the 3D action game itself are left scarce due to job confidentiality. However, it should be long before Nintendo reveals more games during the summer. 2022 is already a busy year for Switch with tons of games on the horizon such as Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Splatoon 3 and Advance Wars 1+2: Re-boot Camp.
