RPG Maker Unite features full HD creation support, revamped UI & more

Kadokawa and Gotcha Gotcha Games shared new details regarding features found in RPG Maker Unite! The new title in the RPG creator series features full native HD support for the first time. With native HD support comes a revamped UI and UX to match the aforementioned upgrade. Read up on in-depth details below:

■The First RPG Maker in the Series to Natively Support Full HD Resolution!

Here it is – the long sought-after request from Maker fans – native FHD (1920×1080) resolution! Time to make your game look much better than ever!
In the past we worried whether FHD would add extra burden to creators – but it is now obvious the community evolves faster than we anticipated, and we get constantly requested for a higher resolution!

What good does higher resolution do? Well, let us use our sample maps as examples:

By going to a higher native resolution, created games could be sharper, more colorful, and more vivid than ever! This is tremendous power in terms of creation freedom at your fingertips – and remember – all WITHOUT a single line of coding!

Here is a zoom-in on the Church area to the center-left. Notice how map details such as the color gradation of stein glasses, more natural building shadows, and various other map details are now more pronounced than ever.

Of course the benefit of higher resolution also extends into Battles! Battle graphics can now have much more crisp colors and detailed expressions noticeable to players!

To those who prefer using custom assets, it is now also your time to shine, as there are so many more detailed elements that you can show off to the world!

■A Revamped UI and UX (User Experience) !

As a lot of you have noticed when we launched our Store Page last month, the previous modal-window typed UI has been replaced by a more modern UI based on tabs and allows the simultaneous editing of multiple parameters for better work efficiency than past titles!

    ■Introducing Sample Game Characters!
As with all past RPG Maker titles, RPG Maker Unite would also come with a sample game both for user’s entertainment and serve as an example on how the tool works! Today we would like to introduce two main party characters!

First is Miguel – a charming hunter who wields a big longbow and acts as the party’s main ranged attacker!

    Victory Animation

The second character is Sharon – a cute wizard character acting as the party’s main source of magical needs. Her trademark is her purple outfit with a big orange ribbon on her hat!

    Magic Casting Animation
