Famitsu published their year-end series of developer interviews as they look forward to 2022! Among one of the most interesting statements shared is from JP Games and former Square Enix director Hajime Tabata. According to Tabata, JP Games will announce a brand new RPG in 2022. This looks to be JP Games’ first major RPG project ever since Tabata left Square Enix following cancellation of Final Fantasy XV’s DLC. In addition, this will be the first of two large-scale RPGs being developed by the studio alongside major unnamed game companies. We look forward to seeing what Tabata and his development team brings in the near future.
