At INDIE Live Expo Winter 2021, Kodansha & Hiro Mashima announced a partnership to develop a new Fairy Tail game! Developers may join the Kodansha Creators Lab with ideas to develop a new game in the franchise for platforms like iOS, Android and Steam. Hiro Mashima is providing 10 million yen of his own money for development of the game along with another 5 million yen by Kodansha. Additionally, Kodansha are publishing this new Fairy Tail game. Profit earned from the new game will be shared amongst the developers as well! The application process in Japan starts December 1st and ends January 17th. The project is expected to take around a year or so to develop once developers are brought on board. Lastly, more details including applications are available here.
