In rather unfortunate news, legendary Namco sprite & graphic designer Hiroshi Ono passed away on October 16th 2021 at age 64. Hiroshi Ono was known as Mr. Dotman and responsible for logos, sprite work and graphic design across some of the most iconic Namco games. His resumé includes both games and anime like Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Doraemon and Dr. Slump Arale-chan to name a few. In Japan, he was also known as “the god of pixel art” for his many contributions to classic games and arcades throughout the years. His legacy is felt throughout decades of Namco games, arcade cabinets, artwork and much more.

We wish our condolences to Mr. Hiroshi Ono’s friends and family. Thanks, 4Gamer.net.
