D3 Publisher announced that Hololive VTuber Ookami Mio will be a playable DLC character in Earth Defense Force 6! She was present during the EDF 6 TGS 2021 Online presentation as a fellow fan of the franchise. Producer Nobuyuki Okajima announced the DLC and allowed Mio to try out a test build of EDF 6 on stream. More details about the Ookami Mio DLC will be announced at a later date.
