Nintendo 64 games, SEGA Genesis games, and a new membership plan are coming to Nintendo Switch Online this October

*Update* Rare, creators of the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and many classic N64 games, have announced that Banjo-Kazooie will be coming to the N64 Online service! This is huge since Banjo hasn’t seen a release on a Nintendo home console since Banjo-Tooie over 20 years ago. Banjo-Kazooie is planned for a future release on the service, so don’t expect to see it at launch. You’ll also see The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and Mario Golf 64!

*Original* After recent speculation regarding a leaked controller model, Nintendo have announced a massive expansion to the Nintendo Switch Online service. Nintendo 64 games AND SEGA Genesis games will be coming to the service! This has been both a long awaited and long speculated feature, since it’s been a couple years now since the addition of SNES games to the service. While N64 was expected, Genesis games are a very welcome surprise. Now, you can play classics like Ocarina of Time and Streets of Rage 2 on your Switch.

This territory, of course, comes with new controllers! These are based on the iconic Nintendo 64 controller and SEGA Genesis controller, however the Genesis controller is only the original three-button pad.

Not only that, but NSO is also getting a major new payment plan! This expansion plan is what includes Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games. This plan and the new systems will launch this October. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for more in the latest gaming news and updates!
