Gran Turismo 7 features crossplay between PS4 and PS5, improved damage models and real-time weather

In a recent interview at Eurogamer, Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi shared a ton of interesting tidbits about Gran Turismo 7. The game has been in development since the end of 2017, around the time Gran Turismo Sport released for PS4. PS4 and PS5 players can play together in GT7 thanks to cross-platform play. Improvements were made from car models in GT Sport so damage is more accurate and improved this time around. Another improvement being implemented for GT7 is real-time weather simulation. Like previous numbered GT games from the PS1 to PS3, car collecting is an aspect that fans will be delighted to see within the campaign. According to Yamauchi, he’s interested in bringing back more past features from the series for GT7. This may be done with patches going forward as development wraps up for the game.

GT7 is looking to be a very exciting and promising title for fans of the iconic racing franchise. Lastly, Gran Turismo 7 releases on March 4th, 2022. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and updates!
