Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain online service for PS3 and Xbox 360 shuts down on May 31st 2022

Konami announced today that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s PS3 and Xbox 360 online service shuts down on May 31st 2022. This means that multiplayer and online functionality will cease by that deadline but single-player is mostly unaffected. The PS4, Xbox One and PC versions will remain online but it’s only a matter of time before those platforms cease support of the game. Luckily, players have disarmed all nukes in the online service as of July 2020, years before the shutdown. A job well done for the Diamond Dogs.
