In a new interview at Comunidad Arc System Works, Arc System Works’ producer Takeshi Yamanaka and director Akira Katano shared the status of crossplay for Guilty Gear Strive! Currently, crossplay functionality for the game is in the verification process. It arrives with a new update this year as the developers still need some more time before an announcement is made. Here’s the official excerpt from the interview:

Of course, we are always striving to accomplish this, and we are going through the verification processes for it. But there are still many practical issues like schedules and the running costs of matching servers. It will take a little more time before we can make a concrete announcement.

Arc System Works hopes fans will continue to enjoy Guilty Gear Strive for a long time to come. Lastly, Guilty Gear Strive is out now for PS4, PS5 and Steam. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and updates!
