Serving as a final nail in the coffin, Sony has officially removed Japan Studio from their lineup of PlayStation Studios. The official website was updated recently to remove mention of the studio. Various studios like Bend Studio, Insomniac Games, Guerrilla, Team Asobi and more now lead the lineup of PlayStation Studios. Team Asobi is now one of the only studios from PlayStation operating in Japan alongside Polyphony Digital. Many prolific employees including Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama have left Japan Studio to start up new 3rd party studios.
