The Elder Scrolls VI is still a long while away from being a full game according to the Todd Howard. Bethesda’s using Creation Engine 2, an upgraded version of their proprietary engine that’s going to be showcased with their new RPG, Starfield. Howard states that The Elder Scrolls VI is “still in a design phase” and new additions to Creation Engine 2 will be made in development. Although we are unlikely to see The Elder Scrolls VI until after Starfield’s release, development of the new Elder Scrolls game will benefit from it. The “new technologies” from Starfield’s development will power The Elder Scrolls VI according to Howard.
