Summer Game Fest 2021 begins on June 10th with a world premiere showcase; PlayStation, SEGA and more announced as official partners

Geoff Keighley announced that Summer Game Fest 2021 begins on June 10th with a world premiere showcase! This event kicks off at 11 AM PST that day with game announcements and a live performance by Weezer. In addition, Summer Game Fest 2021 partners were announced. These partners include PlayStation, SEGA, Square Enix and Epic Games just to name a few. The list of partners is available below:

VGC recently conducted an interview with Geoff Keighley for more insight into this year’s show. According to Keighley, the showcase will have between 20 to 30 games. The showcase is similar to scope as The Game Awards and Gamescom Opening Night Live in that regard. Additionally, “lots of live-service games” are participating in the event. Keighley also says that the showcase will have “some big announcements and long-awaited things”. As always, its best to keep expectations in check leading up to events like this.
