Demon’s Souls Remake director Gavin Moore leaves SIE Japan Studio

Demon’s Souls Remake director Gavin Moore announced today that he’s leaving Sony and Japan Studio. He’s worked at Sony for 24 years and spent 18 of those years creating games at Japan Studio. This marks yet another developer leaving Japan Studio after Sony’s restructuring of the studio into Team ASOBI. Here’s what he had to say:

After 24 years at Sony and 18 of those in Japan, yesterday was my last day at #JAPANStudio. I will miss the great creative spirit and camaraderie of the studio that was a huge part of my life. Time to seek out new and exciting opportunities!!

Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida thanks Moore for all of his hard work over the decades for PlayStation. We hope Moore finds some great opportunities to make more games in the industry. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and support us over on Patreon!
