    PS5 internal storage upgrade will come via firmware update this summer according to Bloomberg

    The PS5’s internal NVMe storage slots will finally be unlocked via a firmware update this summer! According to Bloomberg, a firmware update is being planned by Sony to unlock the M.2 NVMe slots for additional storage. Additionally, the update unlocks higher cooling fan speeds to ensure the console doesn’t overheat during heavy loads. Details about supported NVMe drives should come at a later date.
