King of Facade

The young king that rules over Facade, which values law. Greatly pained by local water shortages and Shade attacks, he is a kind-hearted king who considers his people above all else. However, it seems that he has broken the most important rule among his people more times than anyone else…

A girl who lives in Facade, which values law. She was sent to Facade as a servant when she was very young, and the law forbids her from speaking. She is kind and quiet to all, but has a strong heart. She was once helped by Kaine, so she is friendly to the protagonist and company confused by the city.
■ Locations
Village / Northern Plains
The village where the protagonist and his younger sister Yonah live. Although small, it is equipped with the necessary facilities such as a tavern, shops, and library. On the north side of the village are vast plains inhabited by wild animals such as boars.
Facade / Barren Temple
A city where the people where masks. Countless “laws” have been set that the people live by. The surrounding desert area is inhabited by wolves. Beyond the frequent sandstorms, there is a temple that the people of the city cannot enter.
■ Game Systems
Combat
The protagonist has a large number of attack patterns. Combine a variety of actions to dramatically expand the breadth of combat, including light and heavy attacks unleashed with the press of a button, a wraparound triggered by evasive action, a “reflect” attack triggered by guarding against an attack with good timing that can destroy the enemy’s foundation, and more.
Magic
With the Grimoire Weiss, the protagonist can use magical spells. Using the power of dark blood, this magic can take the form of spears, hands, and more to pose a real threat. Its power can also be doubled by building up magical power and then firing a magical spell.
Weapons
The protagonist can wield one-handed swords, two-handed swords, and spears. You can switch between each weapon mid-combat. Weapons can be upgraded through designated missions. Each time you upgrade a weapon, you will unlock a new part of its “Weapon Story.”

In rare cases, you may receive a “Word” when defeating enemies. Words can be equipped to weapons, magic, and martial arts to create special effects. With over 100 Words to obtain, there is a large variety of effects, including higher attack power and defense power, more experience points, and inflicting enemies with status ailments.
