Toys for Bob talks details about Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for Switch including docked and portable mode performance

Toys for Bob creative producer Lou Studdert shared some new details about Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time for Switch! The game runs at full 1080p in docked mode and 720p in portable mode. Additionally, the game runs at 30fps in both modes. Studdert talks about the challenges of bringing the latest Crash game to Switch and next gen platforms:

“I mean it’s the same challenge as bringing it to any console, honestly. There’s just so much content in the game. There are so many levels, there are so many different ways of playing, there’s all these different things to make sure work. So for our engineers, our artists, our QA team, just making sure that it’s a seamless transition, and it performs as well as it did on the consoles we originally launched with. It’s a big undertaking.”

Toys for Bob also worked on Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Switch ports by the company are in good hands. For more Switch news, stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest updates. Become an official Final Weapon Patreon member to support our site, staff and upcoming content!
