Sony is still planning to acquire studios in the near future to bolster PlayStation’s in-house capabilities, PS5 in “very considerable” demand

In a recent interview by Reuters, Sony CEO Jim Ryan shared that there’s “very considerable” demand for the PS5 pre-launch. Additionally, Ryan states that Sony is planning to acquire studios in the near future. Sony is looking to build up PlayStation’s in-house capabilities by doing so. This will be an interesting move as the next-generation of consoles gets underway this November. The PS5 is in high demand and with that comes demand for more games. Here’s the excerpt from Reuters:

Sony’s will continue to grow its studio capability organically Ryan said, adding that “where we can bolster our in-house capability with selective M&A that might be possible.”
