Demon Slayer: Mugen Train surpasses 10 billion yen in Japan box office sales in just 10 days

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train began airing in Japanese theaters on October 16th and since then, the anime film is setting massive records. It has surpassed 10 billion yen in Japanese box office sales in only ten days! 10.75 billion yen has been made as of October 27th which is over $102 million. This is an insane opening for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train as it has already reached one third of Spirited Away’s lifetime box office sales. In comparison, Spirited Away made around 30.8 billion yen as the current best-grossing film of all time in Japan. At this rate, its possible that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train could come close to that figure.

Lastly, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train premieres in Spring 2021 in the west. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming and anime news!
