SEGA has announced that Yakuza: Like a Dragon releases on March 5th 2021 for PS5. The game will release on November 10th for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC via Steam. Players who purchase the PS4 version digitally may upgrade for free to the PS5 version once it releases. Players on Xbox One may upgrade immediately to the Xbox Series S/X versions via Smart Delivery.

*Update* Ryu Ga Gotoku studio has clarified information regarding the PS5 version of the game. PS4 owners will be able to upgrade their physical or digital copy of Yakuza: Like a Dragon to the PS5 version. However, save data from the PS4 doesn’t transfer over to the PS5 version.
To clarify, physical owners of Yakuza: Like a Dragon on PS4 can also use the original disc to upgrade to the PS5 version when it releases on March 2, 2021.
Save data will not be transferable between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game.
