Nintendo has announced that the 3DS family of systems has gone out of production after the system’s long nine year life, and the overall DS umbrella’s sixteen years. This total cease in production includes all six models of the 3DS: the original, XL, and 2DS models, as well as each of the upgraded New models for those three.
This comes well over a year after the English release of the system’s last major title, Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Over the past near decade, the 3DS has amassed a great deal of games which are beloved by many to this day. Whatever stock is in stores now is the final stock that will be sold, so if you’re looking to see what you may have missed, now is the time.
