    US NPD: Switch surpasses all-time hardware dollar sales record set by the Wii in August 2008, continues to be the best selling console of the year

    The Switch continues to shatter records and that doesn’t change for the month of August 2020! According to the NPD, the Switch has surpassed the all-time hardware dollar sales record set by the Wii in August 2008. In addition, the sales doubled for the Switch compared to August 2019. Switch now takes the crown for the highest hardware dollar sales record for August in US history.
