Fans of Super Mario Sunshine might be slightly disappointed with this news as Nintendo confirms the lack of GameCube controller and adapter support for Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Fortunately, the collection supports the following controller options:
- Two Joy-Cons (including Joy-Con grip)
- Single Joy-Con (horizontal)
- Switch Pro Controller
Its possible that the GameCube controller may be registered as a Pro Controller and then made usable in the collection. However, the official Nintendo website states that the controller is unsupported so it may not be an optimal way to play. Lastly, Super Mario 3D All-Stars releases on September 18th.
