E3 2020 was cancelled due to the growing coronavirus pandemic earlier this year. On top of this, faith in the event was dwindling as major publishers were pulling out of the event. The ESA is staying firm in their stance that E3 is coming back in 2021. That remains to be seen as the pandemic is still an ongoing issue in the US along with skepticism from publishers/developers.
