It seems that the some of the newest additions added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons are the ability to use an Item Delivery and Liquidation. When a player visits a mystery island now they can now send items back to their main island without leaving. They can also sell unwanted items to Wilbur for Bells.
All in all this makes islands way easier to deal with now. This is a great QoL change that many players have requested!
